When Parramatta City Council (PCC) approached Leonards it was already in a hurry. Once a sleepy piece of colonial history it has become a development powerhouse. Mega deals totalling $8 billion are on the table.
PCC are building Australia’s Next Great City, as well as Sydney’s dual CBD. A major print campaign – which Leonards planned and booked was about to launch. The realisation that a microsite to support this would assist business and consumers to keep pace with such rapid change, via their smartphones, was signed off at the eleventh hour.
WordPress was the responsive layout tool of choice. The microsite also needed to be able to be both proactive and reactive from the client end. Up and running to coincide with the print launch, the microsite remains an ongoing project. Modified and refreshed regularly in response to local and state government decision making as well as local and global financial peaks and troughs.
Australia’s Next Great City is an organic case study. More digital channels are about to come on line. Leonards have a multifaceted role in all this excitement. The digital media strategy gathers momentum analysing data to deliver PCC the outcomes critical to Parramatta’s success.
